The Online Biblical Teaching and Preaching School

Welcome to the Online Biblical Teaching and Preaching School Welcome

"For Ezra had set his heart to study the law of the Lord, and to do it, and to teach the statutes and ordinances in Israel". (Ezra 7:10)

The Online Biblical Teaching and Preaching School (BTPS) is a dynamic hands-on course which allows students to gain confidence and begin to develop expertise in the public communication of the word of God in a way that is relevant and serves their audience.  The aim of the school is to prepare students, who already have a thorough understanding of the Scriptures, for the ministry of teaching and/or preaching in both a local church setting, Christian classroom and on the mission field.  The students learn practical skills in effective communication, and they are given help in focused study and heart preparation. Alongside the ministry development there is an emphasis on the student’s continued character growth, recognising that the authority of a speaker lies in the integrity of their lives. The intended result is the preaching and teaching of a message rooted in an accurate interpretation of the Bible and in the power of the Holy Spirit.

While studying online, each student will be connected to a course supervisor.

The Online Biblical Teaching and Preaching School is registered with the University of the Nations (U of N) Online Extensions Studies (OES) program, with 1 credit awarded upon the successful completion of each module. If at some point you desire to use the Extension Studies course credit towards a U of N degree, then these credits would be evaluated as other transfer credits. This course is the equivalent of the U of N Biblical Teaching and Preaching School (CHR371) and fulfils the requirements for the University of the Nations Core Curriculum requirements for Communication.  Upon successful completion 12 transfer credits are awarded. There is also the option of an outreach after successful completion of the modules.
