Job is a superb piece of ancient Wisdom literature which grapples with the hard questions of life. Job takes us on a journey which is full of drama, tragedy, trust and revelation. But after all of Job’s suffering, he ultimately and most importantly ends up knowing God more.

Job shows us that God is sovereign over all the heavens and over all the earth, and that His ways are far beyond human comprehension. We learn that God is always good, despite suffering, and that genuine faith cannot be destroyed.

For many believers The Psalms are a favourite book in the Bible where people go to draw strength, comfort, hope and inspiration. The Psalms connect people to God through worship, prayer and reflection and have a timeless quality which makes them easy to apply to the present day. The Psalms help us get to know God better and remind us that we have a real and living relationship with God. These stirring words not only move our hearts but touch God’s heart as well.

Song of Songs has been described as the best song ever. In beautiful Hebrew poetry, it celebrates romantic love between a husband and wife.

Proverbs is a treasure trove overflowing with nuggets and pearls of godly wisdom teaching us how to make the most of the life we have been given on earth. This practical book covers all aspects of living and addresses many of life’s questions and problems that are usually answered and solved by making right choices. As you pursue wisdom through this awe-inspiring book you will discover that the fear of the LORD is at the heart of divine wisdom.

The book of Ecclesiastes is a reality check book which takes a deep look at life on earth and discovers how meaningless it is without God. Ecclesiastes makes room for the difficult questions of life and allows people to be real and honest with God. It teaches that life is a gift from God which is to be enjoyed and if we keep God at the centre of our lives, we will live life well.
