The prophet Nahum brings God's message of judgement to Assyria whose wickedness has reached its full measure. God is patient and slow to anger but He is also good and just. Time is running out for the Assyrians. In Jonah we saw how God showed mercy when the people of Nineveh repented of their sins but in Nahum they do not turn from their evil ways and so God's justice eventually comes to them.
