Luke's Writings

 

This module introduces you to the New Testament and the writings of the apostle Luke, which are Luke's gospel and the book of Acts. These two books make up a third of the whole New Testament. You will use the 12 Steps Inductive Bible study method to study these books.

 

Learning Outcomes

At the end of this module you should:

 

Have a basic understanding of the background of the New Testament

Have good knowledge of the chronology (date order) and geography of the New Testament.

Understand how these books are connected to other New Testament books.

Have completed the New Testament books of Luke and Acts using this Inductive Bible study method.

This unit gives a basic Introduction to the New Testament.  

The Gospel of Luke tells the Good News of God’s salvation for all people. It is the first part in Luke's excellent 2 volume masterpiece with the second part being the book of Acts.

The book of Acts is the second part of Luke’s 2 volume account to Theophilus. It shows how the Good News of God’s salvation for all people spread from Jerusalem to Rome through the first apostles by the power of the Holy Spirit.
